Mrs. Peter (Petronella) Smits, 233 S. Walnut St., Kimberly, age 82, passed away at 11 p.m. Wednesday after a long illness. She was born November 26, 1878 in Holland. She was a past president of the Christian Mothers and also charter member. Mrs. Smits is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Peter Valentine and Mrs. Otto Harke, both of Kimberly, five sons, Arnold, Little Chute; Peter Jr., John, Joseph, Raymond, all of Kimberly; 35 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly. Burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen Funeral Home, Kimberly after 3 p.m. Friday. Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Friday.
