Lester A. Berger, 87, of 545 Liberty St., Emmaus, died Friday in his home. He was the husband of Erma (DeFrain) Berger. They were married 61 years in April.
He was self-employed in the plumbing and heating business for 46 years, retiring in 1992.
Born in Lower Macungie Township, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Maggie M. (Leiby) Berger.
He was a member of St. Peter's Union Church, Upper Milford Township, and was on its consistory 42 years.
Survivors: Wife; brother, Grant W. of Kutztown, and sisters, Kathryn Haines of Alburtis, Esther, wife of Richard Swank of Wescosville, and Joyce, wife of Robert Yenser of Macungie.
