Death Claims L. K. Pakebusch

Cheapside, July 1-Louis K. Pakebusch, former Cheapside resident, passed away Friday, June 26, at the home of his son, Louis Pakebusch, Jr. of Cuero.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hahn of Cuero at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stoeltje. Interment was made in the Rupert cemetery.
Mr. Pakebusch was born in Germany August 14, 1867. He came to Texas at the age of eighteen. November 22, 1893, he was united in marriage with Louisa Stoeltje, who passed away in November 1936. To this union eleven children were born, nine of whom survive. They are William of Cheapside, Albert and Emil of Alice, Louis, Jr., of Cuero, Mrs. Olga Lewis of Bentonville, Mrs. Hulda Stoeltje of Cheapside, Mrs. Lucy Schumannof Alice, Mrs. Elsie Rileybof Corpus Christi, and Mrs. Erma Hester of Lingsville. One son, Rudolph, died in 1935, and a aughter, Alma, died in 1911. Mr. Pakebusch is survived by three brothers, Fred Pakebusch of San Antonio, Charlie and Fritz Pakebusch of Yorktown. He also leaves 37 grandchildren to mourn his passing.
