Reuben Edward Hendrich, 89, of Salina, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Eaglecrest Retirement Community. Reuben was born April 9, 1923, in Lincoln County, the son of Joseph and Anna (Steenbock) Hendrich.

He was a machinist at Philips Lighting, retiring in 1985. Reuben was a member of Salina Bible Church. He was united in marriage to Ina Grace Cooper on July 19, 1946, in Dorrance. She survives.

Survivors include two sons, V. Leroy (Linda) Hendrich, of Russell, and Leslie (Sue) Hendrich, of Camdenton, Mo.; two daughters, Anel (Bob) Minneman, of Tescott, and Faith (Randall) Rud, of Winona, Minn.; two brothers, Leo (Peggy) Hendrich, of Wichita, and Robert (L'Nore) Hendrich, of Pueblo West, Colo.; six sisters, Dorothy (Eugene) Minor, of Dallas, Beth McDonald, of Lenexa, Mildred (Edward) Hlad, of Sylvan Grove, Miriam (Tommy) Felts, of Bossier City, La., Norma (Donald) Phillips, of Prairie Village, and Alice Dawson, of Scotland; sister-in-law, Barbara Hendrich, of Redmond, Ore.; eight grandchildren, Joey Hendrich, Bradley Hendrich, Amy Crocker, Chad Hendrich, Jill Minneman, Anna Wood, Gabriel Rud and Heather Voelker; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William Hendrich.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Salina Bible Church, with the Rev. Ronald E. David Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Wilson City Cemetery, Wilson.
