Mr. Chris Collin Reed, 59, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 30, 2013 and spent his first Easter in Heaven. Chris was a native of Jacksonville and attended AndrewJackson High School. He retired from JEA and was an active member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church, where he served in the Choir and the Celebrate Recovery Program. Anyone who knew Chris knows he loved the Lord first and his Gators second. Chris will be remembered by his wife: Kelly Stewart Reed; 2 children: Erik Collin Reed (Nikki) and Rachael Renee' Reed and 3 granddaughters: Gabrielle Seales, Autumn and Emily Reed. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 N. Main Street with Rev. Tim Rigdon and Rev. Ray Mayfield, officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. His family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the service at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Hosanna House, P.O. Box 440819, Jacksonville, Florida 32222. Peeples Family Funeral Homes is serving the Reed Family.
