Felgenhauer died Thursday at St. Josephs Regional Medical Center at Lewiston of kidney failure. She was 73.
She was born May 11, 1918, at Uniontown to Joseph and Elizabeth Warnecke Polinsky. She attended schools at Uniontown and graduated from high school there.
She worked as a housekeeper on a ranch at Fairfield, Wash. She married Harold E. Felgenhauer April 11, 1939, at Uniontown.
The couple moved to Montesano, Wash., where he worked at a Civilian Conservation Camp during World War II. They later moved to Wenatchee, Wash., where he worked for the Washington State Police.
They also lived in Genesee and Viola, north of Moscow, and later moved to the Camas Prairie.
Her husband died in October 1979. She moved to Lewiston in 1984. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Lewiston.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening. Survivors include four sons, Norman of Boise, Gary of Atlanta, Ga., Alan of Culdesac, Idaho, and Denis of Seattle; five daughters, Linda Nickels of Moscow, Donna Fabric of Mill Valley, Calif., Rita Johnson of Lewiston, Irma Carlson of Coeur d'Alene and Bonita Felgenhauer of Spokane; two sisters, Lucina Oenning of Uniontown and Mary Hartmeier of Spokane; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Burial will be at the Cottonwood Catholic Cemetery in Cottonwood.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Monastery of St. Gertrude at Cottonwood.
