Born March 21, 1924, in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Ada Kauffman Cook.
A Navy veteran of World War II, she was a life member of Charles Nitterhouse Post No. 1599 VFW, Burt J. Asper Post No. 46 American Legion and BPOElks No. 600, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a graduate of Shippensburg State Teachers College, now Shippensburg University.
Mrs. Gabler owned and operated the former House of Gabler Antiques on North Main Street for 45 years until it closed in 1996.
Her husband, Robert W. Gabler, died Dec. 3, 1966.
Surviving are a niece, Kathy (Mrs. Al) Lofton of Fairfax, Va.; and a longtime companion, Paul Gindelsberger, and a daughter, Paula R. Upperman, both of Chambersburg.
Burial in Lincoln Cemetery.
