CATO PIONEER, RESIDENT HERE 66 YEARS, DEAD
Frank Brunner, pioneer settler of Manitowoc county and one of its oldest residents, died at the home of his son Frank Brunner, Jr., in Cato early yesterday morning. Mr. Brunner, who was 86 years of age, had been failing
for some time and his death, while a shock to friends, was not unexpected.
Mr. Brunner was a native of Austria and came to America at the age of 20, locating in Manitowoc county where he has resided ever since, formerly at Rapids and in later years in Cato. His wife died thirteen years ago and Mr.
Brunner is survived by five daughters and four sons, Mrs. Joseph Waniger of Manitowoc Rapids, Frank Brunner, Jr., of Cato; George Brunner of Manitowoc Rapids, Mrs. Robert Trochlell of Shawano; Mrs. Mike Kanzelberger of Two
Rivers, Mrs. T.B. Donovan of Chicago and Mrs. Elmer Allie of Two Rivers. One son, Michael, lost his life in the world war (sic-one child not listed).
Forty-six grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at Silver Lake Saturday morning.
