Anton J. Kleiber, 73, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Lake. The Rev. Benedict A. Kleiber, son of the deceased, will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Kleiber was born Nov. 21, 1894, in the town of Maple Grove, son of the late John and Frances Miller Kleiber. He married Mary Zipperer Oct. 1, 1919, at Whitelaw. They owned and operated a farm on Rt. 1, Manitowoc, the past 40 years. Mr. Kleiber is a member of the Holy Name Society and a 50-year member and charter member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
Suvivors include his wife, five sons, Bernard, of Plymouth, Richard of Manitowoc, Anthony, of Charlevoix, Mich., Father Benedict of Oshkosh and Jerome, of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven daughters, Miss Rita, at home, Mrs. Donald (Dolores) Holschbach, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Patrick (Dorothy) Peterson, of Valders, Mrs. Andrew (Marion) Holschbach, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, Mrs. Theodore (RoseMarie) Jarosh, of Neenah, Mrs. Gene (Monica) Ahrens, of Sheboygan and Mrs. Fred (Helen) Crocker, of Trenton, N.Y.; a brother, Ernest, of Brillion; two sisters, Mrs. William Brey, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Joseph Spatchek, of Reedsville; and 76 grandchildren. A son, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. by members of the Holy Name Society and the parish.
