JOSEPH KOELZER

Joseph Koelzer, 82, who has made his home at the Holy Family hospital since he retired from active farming in the town of active farming in the town of Manitowoc Rapids nine years ago, died there Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock. He has been in failing health for six months.
The body was removed to the Pfeffer funeral home, and will lie in state Friday morning until the time of the funeral Saturday morning. Brief services will be conducted at the funeral home at 8:30 followed by a requiem mass at the St. Joseph Catholic church at Silver Lake celebrated by the Rev. Father Traeger.
Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Koelzer was born in the town of Rapids Nov. 8, 1861. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Holy Name society, and members will recite the rosary at the funeral home Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Koelzer never married. His only surviving relative is a sister. Mrs. Mary
Scherer of this city, who formerly lived at Newton.
