Tona Lea (Toni) Borg, our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, November 18, 2012, at her home in Herriman, Utah. She was 55 years young and full of life and love. Toni, the second of five children, was born August 27, 1957 to Lois Guymon Furniss and Bruce Ralph in Salt Lake City. She was raised in Preston, Idaho and loved sharing fond memories with her children. She graduated from Preston High School, class of 1975. She then attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. On March 15, 1979 she married Steven F. Borg in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.

Toni's greatest joys in life came from interactions with her family and other loved ones. She had a special affinity for animals since childhood, and one of her dreams was to have a horse. That dream came true a few years ago, and she loved visiting and riding her Tennessee Walker, Mary. She loved dogs and bred poodles and havanese for years. She had a green thumb and could get anything to grow. She enjoyed staying healthy and liked bikram yoga and had aspirations to pursue a degree in aromatherapy. She served in her church in various callings including working with the special needs mutual program and helping with the children for sealings at the Oquirrh Mountain LDS temple. Professionally she worked for a variety of firms and companies as a legal secretary and made many special friends over the years.

Toni had a contagious laugh, a child-like innocence, and a loving heart which made others feel welcome. She will never be forgotten and her legacy of gratitude will live on through those she left behind.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; daughters, Ariane Christine Borg, Sara Jane Borg, and Emily Dawn (Kevin) Yuill; two grandchildren, Jaxton Steven Borg and Aria Selah Borg; mother, Lois Guymon Furniss; stepfather, Gary Furniss; sister, Ronda Wallace; brothers, Calvan Shields and David (Sue) Shields; sister, Jeanie (Nicky) Chavez.

The funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Herriman South Stake Center 14550 S Juniper Crest Road, Herriman, Utah 84096. A viewing for friends and family will be held at the same location on Friday, November 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. Interment will be at Herriman City Cemetery 12465 S Pioneer Street (6000 W) Herriman, UT 84096.
