Services for Byron Collie, 81, of Kevil will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Morrow Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Tony Steele will officiate, with burial in Mount Kenton Cemetery in Paducah.
Mr. Collie died at 1:55 p.m. Friday at his home.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Oscar Baptist Church. He was a poet, musician and trick pool player.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Pearl Steinbeck Collie; a daughter, Sandra Collie Johnson of Chicago; two stepsons, Glenn Steinbeck and Lee Steinbeck, both of Kevil; a stepdaughter, Sue Jenkins of Kevil; a brother, Irvin Porter of Simi Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joetta Collie, and one sister.
