Kathryn R. Lehmann, formerly of Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake, Indiana passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at The Hearth at Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 86.
She had been a resident at The Hearth at Sycamore Village since December of 2012; and before that she was a six year resident at Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake, Indiana where she was a member of the Winona Lake Literary Club, and member of the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.
She was a graduate of Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana where she received her teaching degree. She taught elementary school in Iowa, Texas, Illinois and Ohio. She retired in 1987 to Brownsburg, Indiana where she and her late husband John served in many local church ministries.
Kathryn was born on September 4, 1926 in Henry County, Iowa to Harry Reschly and Fannie (Conrad) Reschly. On June 17, 1956 she was married to John Roger Lehmann, who passed away on May 27, 2003.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Joseph (wife Donna) Lehmann (Warsaw, Indiana); John Mark (wife Susan) Lehmann (Forest, Virginia); daughter: Alene Enderle (Columbus, Ohio); seven grandchildren: Philip, Lindsay, Gail, and Andrew Lehmann; Alex, Jonathan, and Katy Enderle. She also leaves behind three brothers: Marion (wife Opal) Reschly (Crawfordsville, Iowa); Ray (wife Wava) Reschly (Kalona, Iowa); Vernon (wife Laura) Reschly (Nowata, Oklahoma); and her sister: Elsie (husband Stanley) Burkholder (Washington, Iowa). She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter-in-law Karyn Lehmann; three brothers: Willard, Orlin, and Ben Reschly, and her sister Vera Buchanon.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Bruce Barlow.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Brownsburg, Cemetery in Brownsburg, Indiana.
