Russian general, one of the founders of the Decembrist movement, and was born into a noble family. His father was Major General Muraviev Nicholas (1768-1840) - the founder of the Moscow school for kolonnovozhatyh. His mother was Alexandra Mordvinova (1770-1809). Adopted by the military service of the Moscow University in retinue kolonnovozhatyh Quartermaster on March 1st 1810. September 14, 1810 promoted to second lieutenant.
