Dawson W. Kreiser, 82, Lebanon, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Mildred J. Swope Kreiser, who died in 1981. Born Dec. 27, 1922, in Shellsville, he was the son of the late John H. and Sarah A. Drupp Kreiser. He was employed by John B. Minnich and retired from 542 Operating Engineers. After retiring, he worked as a van driver for the Halcyon Activities Center in Lebanon. He was a life member of the Lebanon VFW, Disabled American Veterans and Keystone Gun Club in Lebanon. Surviving are children Thomas, husband of Betty Kreiser, John, husband of Kim Kreiser, Michael, husband of Deb Kreiser, Remonica, wife of Bruce Firestine, Cynthia, wife of Henry Yiengst, and Suzanne Kreiser, all of Lebanon, and Sarah Lawrence, Myerstown; sisters Betty, wife of Henry Stone of Grantville, and Mabel Bucks of Mississippi; brother David, husband of Grace Ober of Grantville; 20 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Kreiser; and a sister, Alice Speraw. Funeral Wednesday in Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon. Interment in Grand View Memorial Park. [Lebanon Daily News]
