Eula Lee Sherman Sergent, daughter of George W and Zada "Alzadie" Hammons Sherman, was born 4 Mar 1925 in Lily, Laurel County, Kentucky. She married Eugene "Gene" Franklin Sergent 29 Nov 1950 in London, Laurel County, Kentucky. They soon after moved to Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, where Gene became employed by General Motors Corporation, Fisher Body Division. She died at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio on 29 Dec 1982 after a brave battle with lung cancer. She was a member of Cherry Valley United Baptist Church, Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio. She was loved by all who knew her, and was quick to help anyone in need. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved sewing, upholstering furniture, and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Franklin Sergent, only child, Derrell Gene Sergent, daughter-in-law Lois Gardner Sergent who was 7 months pregnant with her only grandchild, Jennifer Lee Sergent. Mrs. Sergent is interred in Rose Hill Burial Park Rose Mausoleum, Princeton Rd, Fairfield Twp, Butler County, Ohio.
