Mireille Samier was born Feb. 24, 1920, in Moline, to Henry Victor and Loretta Merle Stagner Samier. She married Marshall L. Popp Feb. 8, 1941, in Muscatine, Iowa. He died July 30, 1995.
Mrs. Popp was owner/operator of Mireille's Oui Poodle Parlour, Rock Island.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie, Rock Island, and founding member of ARC.
She enjoyed playing piano and dancing to polka music.
Survivors include sons, Roland Popp, Moline, and Randy Popp, Rock Island; a stepson, John Popp, Rock Island; a daughter, Marsha Popp, Moline; grandchildren, Lonnie A. Popp, Robbie Popp, Lisa Still, Mireille Popp, Christian Popp, Julie Westland and Aaron Krysiak; great-grandchildren, Lonnie E. Popp, Marshall E. Popp, Breanne Barker, Bobby Barker Jr., Raymond Still, Beth Ann Westland, Breanna Westland, Jayme Westland, Nathan Still and Caitlin Still; a sister, Michelle Buchholz, Colona; brothers, Billy G. Samier, Albuquerque, N.M., Donald Samier, Rock Island; nieces, Mireille Cauldren, Emily Buchholz, Sherry and Shelly, Delores, Irene and Donna Leonard; nephews, Donald, Henry, Michael and Shawn Samier, David Buchholz; cousins, Ernest Samier, Josette Allard, LeRoy Bertrand, Celine Hudson, and Marian Glazebrook; and a special friend, Mildred Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Joel Popp, sister, Verna Samier, and brothers, Clarence, Dale and Henry Samier.
