Mrs. Dorcas A. Schuessler, 64, of ... died Thursday en route to a local hospital. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Revs. Elroi Reimnitz and Howard Shane will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be...at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Mrs. Schuessler was born Aug. 23, 1919, at Plymouth, the daughter of the Rev. O. A. and Laura Matuschka Graebner. She grew up and received her education at Hampton, and in 1936 moved to Grand Island where she worked at Wolbach's. On July 27, 1941, she married Reinhardt F. Schuessler at Grand Island with her father officiating. The Schuesslers lived in Grand Island. She was secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. For 20 years she was secretary for the Postal Inspector's office in Grand Island, retiring in January 1981. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Evening Guild, Ladies Aid Society, Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Lutheran Laymen's League (and other organizations).
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. David (Ruth) Wauster of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a son, Richard of Portland, Ore.; three granddaughters; two sisters, Eunice Wetzel of Grand Island and Lucille Schabacker of Fairfield, Calif., and her mother of Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her father.
