Son of Pynson and Mabel Bennitt of Pomeroy Lodge, Totnes, Devon. Husband of Dora Charlotte (nee Johnstone)(later Hodgson).

Died of wounds 7th October 1915. Aged 45.

Served in the Somalialand Campaign of 1903-4.
