Darlington- F. Robert Zaloudek, age 70, of 1622 Fayette Rd., Darlington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 9, 1981, at his home. He was born in Little Falls, Minnesota, on May 22, 1911. He was a graduate gemologist of the American Gem Society. He was married on November 4, 1935, in Darlington to Grace Kummer. He was a retired jeweler & watchmaker. Mr. Zaloudek lived in the Darlington area since 1935, with the exception of 2 years in the Army during WWII, and five years spent in Arizona & California. He was a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church, the Evening Star Lodge No. 64, F.& A.M., & the Wimodaughsis Chapter No. 93 Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Grace at home; four brothers, Edward & Kenneth, both of Tipton, Indiana, Donald of Lake Worth, Florida & Richard of Ft. Meyers, Florida; & three sisters, Mrs. Rose Gish of Mendota, Illinois, Mrs. Maybelle Carroll of Indianapolis, Indiana, & Mrs. Dorothy Bardonner of Arcadia, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 2 pm from the Darlington United Methodist Church, with burial in Union Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the Erickson-Sharer funeral home, Darlington, on Wednesday after 3 pm and at the church on Thursday from 1 pm until time of services. Masonic rites will be held at 8:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
