William Albert Greenwood (1887-1950) and Anna Veronica Horsfield (1888-1960) were married in 1913 in Pleasant Grove, Iowa. They resided on a farm one mile south of Farley until 1925 when they moved to town. From 1932 until 1937 they operated a restaurant in the building which now holds the Dubuque County Library. From 1936 till 1950 Bill was a postmaster in Farley. They had seven children: Glen, Loras, Eldon, Mona, Lois, Helen and Tom.
