GARDEN CITY - Grace Marian Weinman Schultz, 82, died March 24, 2007, at her home, Garden City.

She was born Jan. 2, 1925, in Garden City, the daughter of Amel Edwards and Grace Avis Marmon Landgraf. In 1943, she graduated from Garden City High School and later received a bachelor's degree in education and her master's degree in English from University of Georgia. A resident of Garden City, she had been a college instructor in English, writing, and grammar and also worked as a businesswoman in the travel industry.

She belonged to St. James Lutheran Church, Garden City, D.A.R. and Council Grove Country Club.

On July 23, 1944, she married Donald E. Weinman, DVM, in Garden City. He died in October of 1994. In August of 1995, she married James E. Schultz, M.D., in Council Grove. He died in April of 1998.

Survivors include: two sons, Billy R. Weinman, Mansfield, Texas, and Umar Abd-Allah, Chicago; a daughter, Irene Weinmann, Mansfield, Texas; five brothers, Amel Edward Langraf Jr., Blackhurst, Ga., Wilbur and Norman Landgraf, both of Garden City, Richard Landgraf, Fayetteville, Ark., and Larry Lee Landgraf, Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Marjorie Hands, Amarillo, Texas, and Phyllis Corrigan, Garden City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will take place at a later date in Garden City and Council Grove.

Memorials may be sent to St. Catherine Hospice or to St. James Lutheran Church, both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City.
