Nebraska City News Press (Nebraska City, NE) Sunday, November 11, 1973:
Funeral services will be 2pm Monday at the Peterson Mortuary for Clara Adelia (Schomerus) Scharp, 75, route two, Nebraska City, who died Friday at her home. The Rev. Gary Nienkamp will officiate. Burial will be at Wyuka cemetery in Nebraska City.
Mrs. Scharp was born July 21, 1898, in Nebraska City, the daughter of Enno and Marie (Arends) Schomerus. She married Karl E. Scharp, who survives, on February 12, 1931, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was a member of the United Church of Christ.
She is also survived by a son, Harold K. Scharp of Nebraska City; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Alma) Peterson and Mrs. Anna Kircher, both of Nebraska City and four grandchildren.
