Mr. Dicky Howell True, 81, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Houston. He was born July 15, 1931 in Hale Center, Texas, to the late Harry Ormal True, Sr., and Eldora Alice Walker. He was a retired executive Purchasing Manager for the Cleco Air Tool Division of Dresser Industries. He was also a retired Scout Master; he was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a veteran of the Korean War for the US Navy and he was a Baptist.
Mr. True was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Harry True, Jr. and Doug True, two sisters; Bobbie Clore and Sue Baker.
Survivors include: his wife, of 56 plus years Tressie Bowden True of Katy: one son Dowell True, Sr. of Katy; one daughter Venetia True Stanley and Kevin of Mineola; one grandson Dowell True, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Ft. Bragg, NC; three granddaughters: Amanda and Kevin Grzenia of Hattiesburg, MS; Meagan and Blake Luby of McKinney, and Micayla Stanley of Mineola; and three great grandchildren Corbi and Bo True of Ft. Bragg, NC; and Hudson Luby of McKinney. He is also survived by two brothers: Tommy and Ina True of Bedias and Kenneth True of California as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 14, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola.
