Ruby Maxine Reinecke, age 71, resident of Fort Scott, died Monday afternoon, May 13, 2013, at her home. She was born June 24th, 1941, in Hiattville, Kansas, the daughter of Bernard Russell and Ruth Ireta Hartman Russell. She graduated from Uniontown High School with the class of 1959. She married Max W. Reinecke on November 13, 1960, in Redfield, Kansas. She worked for Western Insurance and later American States Insurance as an underwriter. She also worked for the Co-op, as a baby sitter for 10 years, Value Merchandisers, and Ward Kraft. Maxine catered weddings and made wedding cakes. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping. She was a very caring person, always smiling. She was a member of the Paint Creek Church.
..Survivors include her husband Max of the home; two daughters, Brenda Stokes and husband Craig, Franklin, Kansas, and Bernita Griffith, Fort Scott; two sons, Bryan Reinecke and wife Sue, Fort Scott, and Shawn Reinecke and wife Samantha, Chanute, Kansas; one brother, Larry Russell and wife Cheryl, Fort Scott; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Reinecke, Fort Scott. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by a niece, Melissa Russell; many aunts and uncles, including her mother's twin sister, Ruby Fink, who she was named after; as well as her parents.
..Rev. Chub Bolling will conduct funeral services at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16th, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Uniontown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Chapel. Memorials are suggested to either Paint Creek Church or Sharing Bucket and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kansas 66701.
