Donald Joseph Willeke was born the son of Henry and Bernadine Beyerink Willeke near Maple River, Iowa on March 2, 1931. Donald died at his home in Dexter on November 15, 2007 at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 13 days.

Donald graduated from Carroll High School and worked at Paul & Wayne's Station in Carroll until he met Tony Pivonka. Don and Tony worked at a station in Rockwell City for one year and decided to purchase a station in Dexter in 1955. Don & Tony's Service Station operated for 45 years until their retirement in 2000. Don and Donna Wuebker were married May 22, 1954 in Ayrshire, Iowa. This union was blessed with three children, Bobby Joe, Ann Marie and Barbara.

Donald enjoyed working in his shop on his many woodworking projects. He made several cribbage boards. He always made time to teach his grandchildren how to play cribbage. Don was an active member of All Saint's Catholic Church in Stuart and until recently had been active with the Knights of Columbus Council #1961. Don was a former member of the Dexter Fire Department, Fire Chief and Mayor of Dexter.
Don is survived by his daughters: Ann Vigon and husband Dave of Stuart; Barbara Willeke of Stuart and significant other Curt Pals of Orient; sister Betty Masching of Carroll; 11 grandchildren: Jason Tigges (Jen) of Dexter, Phillip Tigges (Becky) of Redfield, Courtney Tigges (Ben) of Redfield, Chantal Tigges (John Tyler) of Killeen, TX, Tonyaa Brown, Vinnie Brown, Allie Brown all of Stuart, and 1 great-granddaughter Camryn Tigges.

Don was preceded in death by his parents his wife Donna, son Bobby Joe, grandson A.J. Brown, sister Joan Huegerich and brother Wayne Willeke.
