Shirley Ann Paynter Roades, age 71, of Lynchburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully February 3, 2008 at her residence supported and taken care of by Community Care Hospice of Wilmington, OH. She was born July 17, 1936 in Fairview, KY, the daughter of the late William Rexter and Lena Mae (Bishop) Paynter. On February 25, 1956, in Hillsboro, OH she married her husband of fifty-one years, Richard Roades, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Thomas Eugene Roades of Lynchburg, OH and James "Jamie" and his wife Catina Roades of TN, two grandchildren, Erica Lynn Roades and Trevor Roades, two sisters, Winifred Griffith of Wilmington, OH, Dwendolyn Beatty of Pricetown, OH, three nieces and one nephew. Funeral services for Shirley will be 11:00 a.m. February 7, 2008 at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Leo Kuhn, Bane Angles and Patrick Klump will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barker Cemetery in Pricetown.
