He was preceded in death by two of his children, Monika E. Zumsteg and Mark A. Zumsteg.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Elsa Zumsteg of Dayton, Nevada, their daughter and son in law, Erika "Riki" Bedford (Tom) of Medford, Oregon, grandson, Rylan Bedford, granddaughter, Schnee' Bedford, and his brother, Ed Zumsteg of Medford, Oregon.
Lou was born November 24, 1930 in Oakland, CA to Louis and Isabelle Zumsteg.
He married Elsa in 1955. He served in the Air Force, and was a Korean War Veteran. Lou was a committed man, he never did anything half way. Many have crossed his path, and have been left with fond memories of a giving and believing man. His words of wisdom will be missed.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held at Sunday, February 4, 2007 at the Oddfellows Hall, 545 Pacific Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95404, between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m. Please feel free to bring pictures and stories.
An interment will be held February 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
