Roy Robert Loesel passed from this life on Tuesday April 15, 2008. Roy was a past Fire Chief with the Security Fire Dept., after retiring from the US Army, Merchant Marines, and Civil Service. As a proud serviceman he had one tour in Korea, and 2 tours in Vietnam. He was also a proud member of the Fort Carson Fire Dept. He was past Commander of VFW Post 6461 and past Commander of MOPH #423. Roy was married on June 2, 1955 to Sally Wenn. Together they have 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Surviving are Lynn Boult (Larry), Robert Loesel, Pam Smith, Millie Duerst (Randy), David Loesel (Nazik). Grandchildren Deanna, Tony, J.R., Brendan, Beth, Tyler, Kyle, Jenny, Josh, Maryann, Jacob, Timmy, Shannon and Great Grandchildren Leeanna, Emma, and Jimmy; and his sister Ila (Bill) Jarman, and brother-in-law Eddie Strobel. He is preceded in death by his parents Walfdorf and Milda Loesel, and three children Kathy Moore, Vicky Ford, and Donald Polcik; sisters Shirley Strobel, Ruth Lorenz, and brother Ralph Loesel. Visitation will be Thurs. April 17 from 4-7 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 18, at 1:00 pm, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.
