Paul Karl Stueber was born on August 21, 1951, in Litchfield, Minnesota. He was the son of Albert and Josephine (Weseloh) Stueber. Paul was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, Minnesota. He received his elementary education in Cosmos, and was a graduate of the Cosmos High School Class of 1969.
Paul entered active military service in the United States Army on January 27, 1971, and served his country during the Vietnam War. He received the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. On April 28, 1972, he was transferred to the Army Reserves. Paul received an Honorable Discharge on January 26, 1977. After his military service, Paul furthered his education at Suburban Hennepin County Area Vo-Tech in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and studied Auto Body Repair.
On June 23, 1979, Paul was united in marriage to Merridee Boehner at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Paul and Merridee resided in Crystal, Minnesota. They shared 34 years of marriage.
Paul was an auto body painter and worked at various auto shops in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area for 30 years. For the past 12 years, he held employment as a Metro Transit Bus Driver in Minneapolis. Paul was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, Minnesota. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post #7051 in Golden Valley.
Paul loved dogs, especially his beloved Bud and Buffy. He enjoyed ice fishing and traveling in his motorhome. His favorite trips included going to Duluth, Minnesota and Branson, Missouri. Paul enjoyed working on his lawn, landscaping, making lawn ornaments and lawn furniture. He was an avid NASCAR fan and he also enjoyed restoring classic cars. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with wife, dog Buffy, good friend Gene Bronkema, family and friends.
Paul passed away unexpectedly at his home in Crystal, Minnesota on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the age of 61 years.
He will be dearly missed.
