Adolph L. Wagner, 87, of 313a E. McCarty St., died unexpectedly Monday morning at a Jefferson City hospital. A life-long resident of Jefferson City, Mr. Wagner was born April 15, 1881, the son of Conrad and Theresa Walther Wagner. On April 4, 1904, he was married to the former Miss Hannah Knaup, who died April 23, 1956.
Survivors include: one daughter, Miss Ruth Wagner, of the home; and one sister, Mrs. William Herfurth, Salem, Ore.
Mr. Wagner's family was among the pioneer residents of Jefferson City. He graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1902. Until his retirement in 1967, Mr. Wagner was employed by the G.A. Fischer Drug Company, here.
He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Tanner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
