Born November 4, 1881 in Powhatan Point, Belmont County, he was the son of Christopher and Julia Ann Simerly Fuchs.
A resident of Newark, OH for five years, he came here from Mansfield. He was an electrician and a former employee of the General Electric Co. in Erie, PA. He retired 12 years ago. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Powhatan Point.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie M. George Fuchs, whom he married, July 31, 1952. His first wife, Jennie Lake Fuchs, died April 10, 1944. Other survivors are a step-daughter, Mrs. Edward Geddes of Erie, PA; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Bride, Miss Clara Fuchs and Mrs. Roy Young, all of Mansfield. Two brothers are deceased.
Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery, Newark.
