She was born in Lykens on February 3, 1926 a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Hartman) Dietrich.
She was a graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School and St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
She was a Registered Nurse in Philadelphia area hospitals. She was a Night Nursing Supervisor at the former Ashland Regional Medical Center, Fountain Springs.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento, Pa.
She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, an EMT with the Hegins Area Ambulance, a volunteer with the American Red Cross, a member of the Valley View Senior Citizens, the Gratz Historical Society, and a volunteer with the Valley View Fire Company.
She is survived by a son Stephen W Klein and his wife Frances of Hammonton NJ; a daughter Stephanie M Lyons and her husband Harold of Hegins; two grandsons Francis B Bixler of Lykens and Christopher S Klein of Blue Anchor NJ; three granddaughters Stacy A Smith of Williamstown, Sherry A Bixler of Dayton, and Jaime N Gregori of Ceaderbrook NJ; six great grandchildren; a brother George Dietrich of Sacramento Pa.; and four sisters Ruth Koppenhaver of Sacramento, Pa, Pauline Klinger of Valley View, Esther Garrett of Chesapeake VA, and Marian Bowman of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by a brother Walter Dietrich and a sister Mary Dietrich.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, Pa, at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 14th, with Rev. Raymond Holland officiating.
Burial was made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento, Pa.
