Last Wednesday the sorrowful news came here that Anton B. Overmann had died at Ottawa Oh. He was well known in the southern part of Mercer County as he was born and reared 2 miles south of Maria Stein on the farm, where his father, Bernard Overman, still lives.
He made his home and was in business at Ottawa, where a wife and two daughters, aged 15 and 17 years, bereave the death of a loving husband and father. The deceased was 48 years of age.
The funeral took place at Ottawa on last Friday. From here his father Bernard and wife; Gerd. Buening and wife from Egypt and Joseph Gehle from St. Henry attended the funeral.
