Son of John A. and Lettie Byrnes Gill, he married Lily, was a retired railroad man, lived at 1541 11th Ave, Longview, Cowlitz Convalescent Center, died there of bronchopneumonia, per death certificate 2943, whose informant was Mrs. Marcella Hopple of Amboy, WA. Buried Feb 21 1968.

William A. Gill, 82, 1514 11th Ave, Longview, died Feb 19 in a Longview hospital. He was born March 7, 1885, in Dubuque, Iowa.

He came to Longview in 1923 from Montana, and retired from the railroad. He was a member of the Dubuque AM & FM, Trinity White Shrine, the Longview OES 216, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

Surviving are his wife, Lily; a daughter, Mrs. Marcella Hopple of Amboy; a son, Bernard of Spokane; a step-daughter, Mrs. G. G. Enbody of Longview; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edward graham, Mrs. Ruby Kies and Mrs. William Montgomery of Dubuque; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 pm at Steele Chapel with Dr. Robert Warren officiating. Interment will be in Longview Memorial Park.
