LIVERMORE, CA., - Services for Leonard Daniel Ostler, 59, 512 Bernal Avenue, who died Tuesday, January 4, 1966 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Livermore, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Callaghan Mortuary.

Burial will be at Memory Gardens I.O.O.F. Memorial Park.

Leonard was born 4 Feb 1906 in Springville, Utah, Utah to Arthur and Amy Elizabeth McKee Ostler.

Leonard married Hazel LaVon Braithwaite Dedrickson on January 30, 1928 in Nephi, Juab, Ut. The marriage ended in divorce March 5, 1948.

Leonard had no children by his second wife. He lived on the banks of a river near Livermore, CA. Her only child and daughter,Carol remembers visiting them when she was very young. There was a dock at the back of the house and his boat.

Ostler, who lived in Livermore for more than 20 years, owned and operated Ostler's Garage on Railroad Avenue until about six months before his death. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Koontz, of Livermore; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Gustafson of Downey, California; six grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: Ken Ostler, George Ostler, Glen McKee and Mrs. Ellen Nelson, all of Springville, Utah; Clifford Ostler of Monterey Park, Harmon Ostler and Mrs. Violet Chauvie of Venice, Mrs. Stella Davis of Provo, Utah, and Mrs. Lillian Boswell of Salt Lake City, Utah; and by his mother, Mrs. Amy E. McKee Ostler of Springville, Utah.
