Janet M. Rhoads, 79, of 2734 Sherwood Lane, died Wednesday morning at Community Hospital of Lancaster of natural causes.
Mrs. Rhoads owned and ran Rhoads Jewelers, Elizabethtown.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and an auxiliary member of St. Anne's Home.
She was a 1936 graduate of Columbia High School.
Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Martin F. Sr. and Marion A. Smith Rost.
She was married to William M. Rhoads for 58 years on Monday.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Marion J., married to Thomas W. Metzger of Lancaster; and two brothers, Monsignor George W. Rost of and Martin F. Jr., married to Jacqueline Rost of Lancaster.
