"Rosary Tuesday, Mass Wednesday for H. J. Stifter"
"Rosary services for Herbert J. Stifter, 68, retired Van Nuys postal carrier will be recited Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church 6625 Cedros St., Van Nuys.
"Funeral mass will be conducted Wednesday, at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Patrick O'Dwyer officiating. Interment will follow at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
"Mr. Stifter died yesterday at the Sepulveda Veterans Administration Hospital. He had been ill for the past five years.
"Mr. Stifter lived at 5752 Vesper Ave. and is survived by his wife Mae and daughter Mrs. David Hays of Panorama City.
"Also 3 brothers, Joe, Carl and Frank and one sister Rose Kayser."
