Last rites for Frank Weckwerth, 78, New Richland, were held today (Wednesday) 2 p. m. at the Evangelical United Brethren church in Waseca. The Rev. F. M. Schendel officiated at the service, and interment was made in Woodville cemetery. A family service was held at the Friedrich Funeral Home in New Richland at 10 a. m. Mr. Weckwerth passed away Saturday at his home after an illness of several years duration. Cause of death was a heart and lung condition. Born in Germany February 24, 1889, the son of Stephan and Teresa Weckwerth, the deceased lived in Nevis, Minn., from 1919 until 1928, when he moved to New Richland, where he has since made his home. Elsie Koechel of Waseca became his bride on December 19, 1919. They were married at Bertha, Minn. She survives as do one daughter, Mrs. Edsell Jacobson (Verna), New Richland; one grandson, Robert Curtis Jacobson; eight brothers and two sisters, namely, Henry, William, Paul, Reinold, Daniel, Carl, and Leo, all of New Richland; Walter of Greenville, Mo.; Alvina, New Richland, and Mrs. Alden Routh, Des Moines, Iowa. Pallbearers were Bernard Weck¬werth, Mark Weckwerth, Stephen Weckwerth, Arnold Hanson, Robert Rudolph and Elmer Rudolph, all nephews of the deceased.
