Margaret Shelia "Maggie" Burkhead was the daughter of Mahalaleel Forrester Burkhead and Emma Rosalie Salters. She was first married to Henry Walter Lohrey on October 2, 1912 in LaCrosse, Rush, Kansas. They had three children:

Arthur Lohrey
Clarence Faye Lohrey
Virgil Wayne Lohrey

After Henry died, Maggie remarried on June, 1923 to Emil Schaumburg. They had one child, Waunita Schaumburg who was born December 6, 1925 in Bison, Rush, Kansas. Waunita married Henry L. Bolick. When Emil died in 1930, she moved to Wichita and lived with her son, Virgil Wayne Lohrey, until her death in 1983.
