Mr. Lepp was born in Pittsfield, MA, a son of the late Julius and Freida Knapp Lepp. He moved to Aiken in 1951. He retired from E. I. DuPont and Westinghouse with forty-five years of combined service. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, and received the Purple Heart for injuries sustained while serving. He retired with active and reserve service of forty-two years attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. He also retired from the Aiken County Clerk of Court's Office serving as a bailiff for fourteen years. He was a member of the Credit Committee of the SRP Federal Credit Union for twenty-four years and was an avid Gamecock fan.
He was a wonderfully strong person who loved his family with all of his heart. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Barsh Lepp, two sons, Michael (Ann) Lepp of Aiken, SC, Ted (Carol) Lepp of Lexington, SC, and two daughters, Sharon (Mike) Curley of Lincolnton, GA, and Heather (Doug) Cogdell of Lexington, SC; nine grandchildren, Tara Taylor, Michael Lepp, Jr., Drew Sanders, Leigh Witherington, Austin Curley, Madison Lepp, Wilson Lepp, Karly Cogdell and Jordyn Cogdell. He is also predeceased by a sister, Luise Lepp.
