Mrs. Diedrich Wilken passed away at her home on South Second street Saturday morning at about one o'clock after a long illness. Death came as a result of a complication of diseases. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the late home and at three o'clock from St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. Geo. H. Vollomer officiated and the remains were laid to rest in Woodville cemetery. The deceased was formerly Helena Sophia Henkensiefken. She was born at Oldenburg, Germany, on December 21st, 1862. Her marriage to Diedrich Wilken took place in Germany in 1886 and the remained in their native country until 1892 when they decided to come to America. They lived in Owatonna for a time and later on a farm near Meriden. From there they moved onto a farm near Wilton where they resided for a period of 16 years and for the past six years have been residents of this city. Mrs. Wilken was the mother of four children, two sons and two daughters, namely: Mrs. Otto Kroeger of Wilton township, John and Herman of this city, and Mrs. Herman Klinger, deceased. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband sons and daughter at this time.
