Juanita K "Juan" Simons, 80, died December 13, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Juanita was a life long resident of Evansville.She graduated from Stanley Hall Elementary School and then Bosse High School in 1943.

During World War II, Juanita worked with the USO.

She worked at Hercules, Servel and the family owned business, United Exterior Products.

Juanita was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church and for the last 20 years at Christ Church United Church of Christ.She also was a member of the Hadi Honored Ladies and Daughters of the Nile, Temple 41. Juanita was an avid bridge player and enjoyed spending time with friends. She was a loving, caring, sincere, devoted and unselfish lady with no regrets - Juanita did everything she wanted to do!

She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronald "Bud" Simons in 1999; and parents, Jacob and Clara Bippus (Rice).

Juanita is survived by her loving family, son, Tim Simons and his fiancee, Susan Johnson of Northville, Michigan; daughter, Marcy Gerike and her husband, Kirby Gerike of Evansville; grandchildren, Melissa and Micah Gerike of Evansville; sister, Clara Lou Decker of Cincinnati, Ohio; nieces and nephews.

Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2005, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kendall Brown with burial at Alexander Park Lawn.Friends may call Friday, December 16, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel.
