MARY ANN D. HAGENOW

Mary Ann D. (Haupt) Hagenow, age 54, of 5466 Marshview Dr., Hartford, Wis., died on May 24, 2000, at her residence as a result of sudden cardiac failure.
Funeral Services were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, West Bend, on May 27, 2000. Pastor Daniel Luetke officiated with burial at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
She was born May 19, 1946, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Myron and Hertha (Glaeser) Haupt. She was educated at rural Newton and First German Lutheran School. Mary Ann graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School with the class of 1964. She married Gene Hagenow at First German Lutheran Church on August 15, 1964. They moved to Sheboygan, where they owned and operated a grocery store. They moved to West Bend, where Mary Ann was employed at various banks for 20 years. She enjoyed singing in the church choir. Mary Ann and her husband were co-founders of Shepherd of the hills Lutheran Church of West Bend along with several families from God Shepherd Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; two sons, Brian (Jackie) and Todd and his fiancée, Amy Ballbach; three grandchildren, Brandon, Samantha and Natalie whom Mary Ann loved very much. Also surviving are two brothers, Glenn (Ione), Manitowoc, Arlie (Marlene), Cleveland; one sister, Karen (Hal) Kamke, Manitowoc; brother-in-law, Earl Lau and his friend, Betty Hoeffner, St. Nazianz; four brothers-in-law, Denni (Judy) Hagenow, Dick, Wayne, and Lee (Jody); also a special friend, Katie Bentz and her parents. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elaine and Lavern; and brother, Larry and son Jeffrey who died twelve years ago as the result of a motorcycle accident; sisters-in-law, Ruby Haupt; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
Memorials may be made to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Mary Ann was a special person showing her love to her family and grandchildren and friends was her priority. She witnessed her faith in her Lord Jesus in many ways. She will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and many nieces, nephews and friends.
