William August Roever was born on August 18, 1906, in Grant, Shawano, Wisconsin, to Karl and Friederike (Stuhr). He married Malinda Voigt on October 29, 1930, in his hometown. They took over operating the family farm on South side of highway 45 where he lived until his death. They had three children: Margaret Westphal, Donald and Dixie Meyer. Bill died on April 2, 1972, in Appleton, Wisconsin, at the age of 65, and was buried in Shawano, Wisconsin.
