SERVICES HELD FOR THEODORE DUMONT
Theodore P. Dumont, 83, of Washington, died May 14, at the Keokuk County hospital. He had been ill since February 7.
Born February 7, 1883 the son of Nicklaus and Anna Schmall Dumont, he was reared and educated at Harper.
He was married November 21, 1905 at Clear Creek, to Margaret Vogel, who survives. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Washington. He was a retired farmer and cabinet maker.
Survivors besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Homer (Irene) Wallerich of Keota and Mrs. Harold (Alma) Gabel of Packwood; two sons, Bernard of Washington and Homer of Fresno, California; 29 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) May 18, at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic church in Washington, with the Rev. T. J. Lew officiating. Burial was at St. Elizabeth cemetery at Harper.
Rosary was held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Sherman-Eden Funeral Home in Washington.
Pall bearers were Keith, Melvin and Ted Wallerich, Donald, Larry and John Gabel.
