W. H. MOORE, JR., DIES AT AGE OF 58 - Mechanical Engineer Had Been Sick For Pat Five Months.
WILLIAM RANDOLPH MOORE, JR., widely known mechanical engineer here, died yesterday at 3:05 p.m. at the Washington County Hospital, aged 58 years.
A resident here for the past 35 years, he had been sick for the past five months. He was born in Roanoke, Va., the son of W. R. Moore, Sr. and Edith (Emmert) Moore.
He was employed at Fairchild Aircraft Division.
Mr. Moore was a member of the First Christian Church, Friendship Lodge No. 84, A.F. and A.M., Valley of Cumberland Consistory, Ali Ghan Temple, Hagerstown Lodge 378, B.P.O. Elks, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Maryland Society of Professional Engineers, Inc., Society of American Military Engineers, and Fountain Head Contry Club.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Louise W. Moore; sons, W. R. Moore, Philadelphia; stepson, Charles W. Hoffman, Jr.; sister, Mrs. Samuel Emmert, Hagerstown; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Suter Funeral Home, the Rev. Dr. William M. Norment officiating, with interment in Rest Haven Cemetery. Masonic burial rites will be accorded.
