Frank Haumann, 89, of 1918 route 31, Lakeport, died Tuesday in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse. He worked at the New York State Thruway Authority and was employed previously at East Washer and Olindorfs. He was a member of the Oneida Lake Fishing Association. He was an Army veteran of World War II, during which he was a prisoner of war. He received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
Survivors: two sons, Stephen of Syracuse and James of Georgia. Services at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home. Burial Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Contributions: V.A. Medical Center, Quality of Life Fund in care of Volunteer Services.
