Reinhard was born April 1, 1912, to John and Wilhelminia Schlewitz. He married Ruth Zimmerman September 4, 1938, in Eau Claire. He worked several years for Hillcrest Golf Club and went on to work for Chicago & North Western Railroad for 32 years, retiring in July of 1974. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Eau Claire.
Reinhard was an avid gardener for many years, sharing his produce with his family and many friends. He was always ready with a smile and conversation.
Survivors include his wife Ruth, two sons, Gerald (Sharon) Schlewitz, Eau Claire, James (Elaine) Schlewitz, Wausau, five grandchildren, Kimberly, Scott, Heidi, Kristi and Daniel, one brother, Carl (Emma) Schlewitz, Eau Claire, one sister, Esther (Charles) Christy, Eau Claire,
He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and two granddaughters, Michelle (Gerald and Sharon Schlewitz) and Sarah (James and Elaine Schlewitz). He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
