Mark Patrick Shirtcliff passed away on June 27, 2005 in Bend, Oregon. He was born November 6, 1969, in Oregon City, Oregon.

Mark attended the South Umpqua School District for 12 years, graduating from South Umpqua High School in 1988. He graduated from Linfield College in 1993 with a degree in Business.

Mark worked for various real estate appraisal firms until becoming fully licensed and starting his own company, Shirtcliff and Associates Real Estate Appraisals in Bend.

During his school years Mark was an avid athlete, as well as participating in 4-H and many other activities. In addition to high school sports, Mark played football for the Linfield Wildcats.

Mark enjoyed snowboarding, taking his boat to the many lakes in Central Oregon and other outdoor activities. He played the guitar and piano. Mark will be remembered for his big bear hugs and his outrageous sense of humor, which was only fully appreciated by his twin sister, Melody. Mark is survived by his parents, Charles P. Shirtcliff of Lookingglass; and Beverly and Richard Parsons of Roseburg. He leaves his twin sister, Melody Cobb, and her husband, Ben of Tigard, Oregon; sister, Mindy Cockrell and her husband, Andy of Richland, Washington; brother, Matthew Shirtcliff and his wife, Beth of Baker City, Oregon; and his girlfriend, Jennifer Sieg and her son, Jake. "Uncle Marky" loved his eight nieces and nephews; Kylee Muir, Kaitlin and Bennett Cobb; Spencer and Payton Shirtcliff; Danielle, Asa, and Kara Cockrell. Other close family members are, John Shirtcliff; Connie Shirtcliff; and Kim Miller, as well as several cousins and many friends.

Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Gene and Lois Tapp; paternal grandparents, H.M, and Sheila Shirtcliff; and an uncle, Frank Shirtcliff.
